A native of Ibaraki, Japan, I began my formal study of painting at nine years old under the direction of Renjoin Sensei. Under his guidance I began to develop my painting skills and to fall in love with creative art. In 2008 I received my BFA in Japanese Traditional Painting from Joshibi University of Art and Design. I am currently in candidacy for my MFA in Painting at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. I am currently building a body of work which can be sampled in the “Cherry Blossums” page of this website. This work is a strong example of the basis for my masters thesis work.
While studying in America, I have developed a presentation on Japanese Traditional Painting which I will gladly share at any interested American institutions in the northeastern United States. For further information regarding my presentation or to set up a demonstration / workshop, please contact me through this website.
